St. Michael’s Church is the oldest catholic church in Mumbai. It was built in the early 16th century on one of the original seven islands that now form Mumbai. St. Michael’s Church is close to Mahim Fort and Mahim Dargah and is exquisitely decorated during Christmas which is the best time to visit. The church conducts Novenas on Wednesdays which are very popular. The current structure of St. Michaels was rebuilt in 1973.
